All members of the congregation are encouraged to share in the life of the Church through their giving.  They are asked to review this each year.  Each December the Kirk Session sets the budget for the church’s work for the coming year.  This is presented to the congregation in January when everyone is asked to review their level of giving.
There are at least three ways of giving to the Church.

The preferred method is by regular Standing Order together with a signed Gift Aid declaration form which enables the Church to reclaim the Income Tax which has been paid on the amount given.  At the current rate of tax, for every £100 given, £28 may be reclaimed at no extra cost to the giver.  To be eligible for this scheme, a member must pay Income Tax.  Members may give lump sums or weekly, monthly or quarterly contributions. Gift Aid forms are available from the Treasurer.
A second method is through Weekly Freewill Offering envelopes.  Envelopes are supplied for the use of members who may enclose their gifts in the envelope and place it in the offering plates during the church service each Sunday.

Thirdly, offerings may be placed on the plate during the weekly church service.

In addition to the giving of our money to the work of the Church we are encouraged to give of our time and talents to the life and service of the Church.  We have all been given particular gifts and talents with which we are called to serve God and others.  For details about various opportunities to serve within our Church please contact the minister.
